Data was first collected in October 2012 and includes 698 individuals. The original sample was 1,200 individuals, but an additional sample of 430 respondents was added in order to reach a satisfactory number of replies. The response rate was 48 per cent.

Covers older people's wellbeing and their receiving home help, and eight domains including: control over daily life, personal care and wellbeing, food and drinks, housing, safety, activities, social contact and dignity.

The data collection is a pilot test of the ASCOT (Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit) in Denmark. ASCOT quantifies care-dependent life quality according to eight specific dimensions by combining survey and observational data. Additional measures of wellbeing, such as Barthel scores and EQ5D are included.
