Summary
Strengths: This registry gives a nearly complete overview of all diagnoses and treatments within the Dutch curative mental health care sector (excl. long-term care). Weaknesses: Even though it is mandatory to send all DBC's to the registry holder, not all mental health care providers do this.

Data was collected in 2009 using an integral observation of the Dutch population. Data collection is ongoing and is scheduled to continue at some point in the future.

Some mental health care providers do not supply, or supply less then 100% of their DBC's to the registry holder. In total, this covers about 5% of all DBC's.

Every year, there are small changes in the registration system, for which consistency corrections need to me made.
