Results of the Microcensus housing survey

Summary

Strengths: The survey includes socio-demographic data and can be linked with microcensus data (comparability with other EU-countries). It uses a high quality sample and a large sample size. The data is current and this survey is continuous over many years. Weaknesses: Related to the general limitations of the Microcensus and that is the data is largely generated within a framework determined by administrative and official needs.

Data collected on structure of the housing stock (dwellings used as mains residences), fixtures and fittings, legal basis of dwellings, social status of the household reference person, cost for rented flats, monthly housing costs, average floor space of dwellings, characteristics of rental contract (data of issuance, limitation).
