This is an invitation to the seminar “Care, Retirement & Wellbeing of Older People Across Different Welfare Regimes” (CREW) that will be held at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain) on the 22nd of June 2022, from 9.30 am until 1 pm (room Lecl-93, building Leclercq, Place Montesquieu 1, Louvain-la-Neuve).
In the context of population ageing, understanding how different approaches to welfare can protect the health and well-being of older adults is an important priority and challenge. Our seminar aims to provide a forum to explore perspectives regarding the “welfare models,” their changes, and their consequences for health and well-being at older ages.
The seminar will summarise the key findings of the JPI-MYBL-funded project. It will also present recent research on the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health and well-being of older people. We hope to provide inputs for policy-makers, care providers, and advocates for older adults on potential ways of meeting needs in the context of demographic pressures, socio-economic changes, and exceptional circumstances, such as the recent pandemic.
We hope you will join us at this seminar!
To participate we kindly ask you to register by the 10th of June:
